Janet Jackson Tour 2015: Music Star Announces New Concert Dates

Janet Jackson’s return to the spotlight is starting to look like a success. Her 2015 world tour is extending to new cities.

A Janet Jackson concert is set to take place in a city near you. Just days after announcing her Unbreakable World Tour, Jackson was forced to extend the concert series because too many fans were upset that she left their cities out. Originally, Mrs. Jackson’s 39-city tour was supposed to start on August 31, 2015 in Canada and end in Hawaii on November 12.

However, due to high demand, a second leg of the Unbreakable World Tour will zig-zag through 28 new cities and will begin in 2016.

The 49-year-old pop star will kick off the new leg of the tour on January 12 in Portland, Oregon and will make stops in Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago and more.

A statement on Mrs. Jackson’s site read:

“Today Janet changed forever the way music owners experience her concerts. Music owners receive a special code giving them VIP ticket access, eligibility for backstage views, private glimpses of Janet’s awards, memorabilia, costumes and never before seen private photographs as well as the opportunity to get private messages to Janet before and after each show. This unprecedented access to the live event has never been attempted for music owners, who in Janet’s eyes are extraordinary, generous and loving. There will be more surprises for people who own Janet’s music. There will be No Sleeep until she sees you in your city. Lets keep the conversation going.”

Jackson’s new album, her first LP since 2008’s Discipline, will be out later this year. Tickets for the tour go on sale on June 22.
